Lavender Scones     6 to 8 Servings

Bake Time: 10 minutes
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon dried *culinary lavender buds
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
1/3 cup sugar

  Pre-boil milk with culinary lavender buds and cool.
Mix flour with baking powder and salt.

Using a pastry blender cut butter into flour mixture. Gently mix in sugar (do not stir) Slowly add the pre-boiled milk/lavender bud mixture. Mix with a fork until dough forms a ball, then knead dough gently and roll out to 1 1/2" thick. Cut dough into triangles and place on baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until just golden on top.

  *Garnish with additional lavender if desired.
